FAQ
September 12th through 14th , 2025 | Germantown, NY
How do I RSVP?
We’ve added a link to the website header but incase you missed it, you can find it here.
What's the weather like in September?
Early fall in Germantown is peak upstate magic—mild and sun-warmed by day (around 75°F), with evenings that call for a sweater, a jacket, or the arm of someone you love (mid-50s°F). Bring layers—you’ll want something cozy once the sun dips behind the hills.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The celebration will take place entirely outdoors, on grass, under open skies and a canopy of late-summer leaves. We recommend block heels, wedges, or heel covers to help you stay grounded (literally).
After dinner and dancing, we’ll head indoors, back to Midwood—the very spot where we kick off the weekend on Friday night.
What's the dress code?
Call it black tie optional, but know that no one is keeping score. This isn’t about rules—it’s about feeling good in what you’re wearing. A dress that moves, a suit that feels like yours, shoes that won’t sink into the lawn or slow you down once the music starts.
For visual inspiration, check out the “Mood Board” section on our site.
Are kids invited?
As much as we love your children—and we really do—we’re keeping the wedding itself adults-only so everyone can relax and celebrate without distraction. We promise there will be no shortage of chaos, joy, and general mischief, as our beloved Henry dog (and ring bearer? maybe?) will be in attendance.
If you’re traveling with children & pets, we’re happy to share a list of trusted local babysitters—just reach out and we’ll send it your way.
Should we rent a car?
Yes—we highly recommend it. The venue is 20–25 minutes by car from most hotels and train stations, and ride shares tend to vanish just when you need them most. A rental, or coordinating with friends, will make your weekend much smoother.
Will there be transportation?
Friday (Welcome Drinks): No shuttle service for Friday night—please plan to drive or carpool.
Saturday (Wedding Day): Shuttles will run to and from the Beekman Arms in Rhinebeck.
Saturday Shuttles: Location: 25 Garden Street, Rhinebeck NY 12572
3:30p: Shuttles will arrive to bring guests to the wedding
Will return guests to the Hotel:
10:00p - End of the Reception
11:30p, 12:30a & 1:30a - During and at the end of the Afterparty
Where should we stay?
We recommend booking in Rhinebeck, Hudson, or Kingston—all nearby, all full of charm. The Beekman Arms is our official hotel and a convenient option for those planning to take the shuttle on Saturday. Whether you’re in a boutique inn or a farmhouse Airbnb, you’ll find no shortage of good coffee and charming porches.
Can we explore the area?
Please do. This corner of the Hudson Valley is made for wandering. Within a short drive you’ll find Hudson, Tivoli, Red Hook, and Kingston—each with their own rhythm, full of antique shops, bookstores, hidden cafés, and slow walks by the river.
Come for the wedding, stay for the weekend.
